About The Royal Mint

The UK's premier precious metals recovery solution - our 3,700sqm plant in South Wales processes up to 4,000 tonnes of PCBs annually, offering a UK solution to a growing problem. The Royal Mint, in partnership with Canadian clean-tech pioneer Excir, has developed a cutting-edge, patented technology that delivers unmatched purity (99.9%+) and speed in precious metal recovery from PCBs. Our sustainable process ensures low emissions, complete transparency, and that no plastics from circuit boards go to landfill. Instead of electronic waste leaving UK shores to be processed at high temperatures in smelters, our approach sees precious metals recovered at room temperature at The Royal Mint's site in South Wales, reducing our reliance on mined materials and retaining the precious metals for use in new products in the UK.
